CMA Architects and Engineers LLP served as owners rep for Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico

Lufthansa MRO Facility in Aguadilla, PR

The Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO) retained the services of CMA Architects & Engineers LLP to serve as the Owner Representative during the construction of the first maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in PR.

Lufthansa Technik is a new 215,000 sq-ft hangar at the Rafael Hernández International Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico whose main focus is to provide formal training to mechanics as part of the new Aerospace and Aviation Institute of Puerto Rico. Construction for the MRO started on November 13, 2014; and by July 21, 2015, the first aircraft customer was accepted in the facilities, an Airbus A320-series from Spirit Airlines.
